Job Description:
Total Rider, LLC is seeking a Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Certified Rider Coach to join our team as an independent contractor. As a Rider Coach, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality motorcycle rider training to our students, ensuring their safety and promoting responsible motorcycling.
Location: Central Texas areas including Austin, Buda/Kyle, Round Rock, Hutto/Taylor, Killeen, and San Antonio
Responsibilities:
- Deliver MSF-approved motorcycle rider training courses on-range instruction to individuals of various skill levels.
- Instruct students on essential motorcycle riding techniques, defensive riding strategies, and adherence to traffic laws and safety guidelines.
- Conduct pre-ride inspections, ensuring that motorcycles and training equipment are in proper working condition and compliant with safety standards.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active student participation and fosters a passion for safe motorcycling.
- Provide constructive feedback and individualized coaching to students, identifying areas for improvement and assisting in skill development.
- Administer practical examinations, assessing students’ knowledge and riding proficiency according to MSF guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and course evaluations, adhering to Total Rider, LLC’s reporting procedures.
- Stay up to date with the latest MSF curriculum, instructional techniques, and safety practices through continuous professional development.
- Uphold Total Rider, LLC’s commitment to outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all students.
- Adhere to Total Rider, LLC’s policies, procedures, and safety protocols, promoting a safe and professional training environment.
Qualifications:
- Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Rider Coach and Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) Motorcycle and ATV Operator Safety certifications are mandatory.
- Possession of a valid motorcycle endorsement and a clean driving record.
- Proven riding experience and comprehensive knowledge of motorcycle operations, handling, and safety practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively instruct and engage students of diverse backgrounds and experience levels.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clear, constructive feedback and guidance to facilitate skill development.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Reliable and professional demeanor, maintaining a positive and approachable attitude throughout training sessions.
- Flexibility in working hours, especially on weekends to accommodate student training schedules.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism and collaboration at all times.
- Must provide own motorcycle and appropriate riding gear for training purposes.
- Ability to monitor student well-being, especially during those hot Texas summers.
